Dr. Cornish graduated from Brown University undergraduate and Brown University Medical School. She completed her family medicine residency at Georgetown University . She is current a member of the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and the International Lyme Association Disease Society (ILADS). Dr. Cornish is a board member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation (ILADEF) where she serves as the chair of the ILADS Physician Training Program. This is a program that trains health professionals on the treatment chronic tick borne diseases among other conditions. She is an expert in the treatment of Lyme Disease, Chronic Fatigue, Biotoxin Illness, Neuropsychiatric Manifestations of disease, Morgellons Disease, Fibromyalgia among other chronic conditions. Dr Cornish’s approach to the treatment of chronic disease is to find the root cause of a person’s health problems by performing a comprehensive evaluation of the body’s various biological systems and takes an approach based on integrative strategies of healing. This includes the combination of evidence -based holistic strategies in conjunction with allopathic medicine. She has combined her passion for functional medicine, interest in chronic illness and extensive genetic research experience at NIH to manage the challenges.
